This 1907 knitting and crochet Pattern book is a treasure trove of inspiration letting you turn back time. This is a digital download with 202 pages of Victorian and Edwardian knitting and crochet projects. It has patterns for baby blankets, sweaters, and booties. Children's socks, sweaters, skirts, gloves, hats. Men's and women's sweaters, gloves, hats, socks, skirts, and vests. It has multiple lace edging patterns, stitch patterns, and instructions for afghans and blankets. Plus, it even includes instructions for horse reins and a hot water bottle cover.
This book was created by Columbia Yarns, so each page details the specific Columbia-brand yarn to use in the creation.
The sweaters and vests usually state the bust or chest size. They don't provide details on how to alter the size, so please read the instructions carefully before starting a project. Each pattern includes an illustration. You can see in the listing photos samples of many of the projects. I couldn't include all since there are so many!
This is a perfect book for your collection of patterns and for any history buffs.
When you purchase this, you'll be directed to a file where you can click through a download your pdf. If you have any issues with the download, please get in touch and let me help you.
This book is the scanned version of "The Columbia Book of Yarns: Containing a Manual of Knitting and Crocheting." It was first published in 1901, but this is the eighth edition and published in 1907. This is part of the collection of the Library of Congress. This document is in the public domain. I've cleaned it up a bit and made it easier to read. I am excited to bring this document to you!
