Feel the beachy sunshine with this collage based on vintage art.
This art print combines happy beachgoers from the roaring 1920s, sunbeams and flying cranes from an 1838 Japanese woodblock ukiyo-e print, and a scenic beach from an 1869 French landscape.
It’s ready for framing and putting up in your bedroom, entryway, living room, bathroom, or office. Perfect wall decor for your home, beach house, or lake house. Also, it's a great gift for your family and friends.
What you get:
- An art print that will be mailed to you. Choose from two sizes: 8x10 or 16 x20
- There will be a slim white border around the edge of the print.
- Please be aware that the frame and mat are NOT included.
It’s printed with archival inks on high-quality, acid-free fine art paper with a matte finish. I partner with a professional printer who specializes in fine art prints. They know how to create gorgeous prints and how to ship them safely to you.
More about the art this is based on:
I combined three works and my embellishments to create this piece. The sky with sunbeams and cranes came from “Tempozan Man-sen Nu-shin no Zu” by Yashima Gakutei. This piece is dated 1838. It is part of The Metropolitan Museum of Art collection.
The picture of the young women is from a photograph entitled “Three models from Washington's spring fashion show [wading] snapped at Arlington Beach” dated May 7, 1924. The original print is in the collection of the Library of Congress, Prints & Photographs Division
The landscape of the gorgeous beach and sky is from a painting called “The Calm Sea” by Gustave Courbet dated 1869. It is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection.
